Overview

Mr. Basit has close to 18 years of experience in intellectual property matters, including both governmental and private practice experience.  Mr. Basit worked for five years as a patent examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office and was involved in the examination of electronic commerce, financial technologies (FinTech), and software-based technologies. 

In private practice, Mr. Basit has experience in wireless communications, computer networking systems, artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, virtual reality (VR), gaming, energy systems, financial trading technologies, and multimedia systems.

In the past, Mr. Basit has represented a variety of different clients, including Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies, universities, and start-up companies.   Currently, Mr. Basit has clients ranging from startup companies all the way to mid-cap corporations.
